Well nice idea, but wouldn't you know it, I got a blank screen. My attitude was, since USB Loader GX is working now, just set it up to run automatically by installing the file from priiloader, that way I no longer have to fool with the system menu at all (yes.I am that lazy). The only problem? I *still* can't get the program to run from Priiloader. Now that the IOS files are updated USB Loader GX ran without any problems. What I did was look up a rather recent guide that told you how to softmod a Wii, followed the instructions, and the problem went away. Turns out it was as I thought the IOS files needed updating. Here's a link to the all-in-one package I'm using. When ran from anywhere else the result is either a blank screen, or a return to the system menu when ran as a channel. Also, if I'm using Priiloader, and I'm running the file in question directly from that, that eliminates misplacement entirely, so why then why does the screen still go blank, and not run the file?Īs stated, the file will run, but only when ran from the homebrew channel. I mean, the forwarder is 2.94 MB, and the USB Loader GX channel is 6.53 MB, so I can already rule out installing two different forwarders. Also, while a misplacement of the file may be possible for the forwarder, that still doesn't explain why I get the exact same error when I try to set it up to run as it's own independent channel, so that the SD card is taken out of the picture entirely. So far the file is in the sd:\apps\usbloader_gx folder.
Usb loader gx forwarder how to install ios 249 download#
For the most part the all-in-one download had things ready to where you can just drag and drop them onto the root of your SD card. I hope I didn't forget anything.Actually the file was in the right place.
You'll need to relaunch USB Loader GX after doing this.
Extract it into the existing apps folder. Download the USB Loader GX channel forwarder WAD file.Create a folder named wad in the root of your SD.Your SD should now also contain /apps/usbloader-gx/*. Your SD should now contain /apps/d2x-cios-installer/*. ( Source.) Extract it to the root of the SD. Get LetterBomb and choose to bundle the HackMii installer.Apparently the USB can also be formatted as NTFS. You'll need an SD card and a USB drive, both formatted as FAT32. I'm using LetterBomb, cIOS, USB Loader GX, YAWMM, and Nintendont. I'll pick one up from a second-hand shop or wait for one online to have a good price. I can't play online with CTGP Revolution because I still don't have a game disc. I'll describe the process I went through in case anyone else wants to do the same. Today I modded the household Wii and put my copies of Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Kart Wii onto a flash drive to play, since I don't have the discs.
